Joris van der Kolk

Joris was educated in the litigation and mergers- and acquisitions practice of the well-known law firm Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam. He is passionate about the litigation practice and excels at resolving conflicts. Joris also enjoys working on complex (international) transactions.

Later Joris worked as an inhouse legal counsel. This experience strengthened both his commercial perspective on contracts and his drive for results. He knows what is important for his clients (and what is not). He is thorough, reliable and social. Joris is authentic and lives consciously. He naturally gains the trust of his clients. Joris works for various family offices and strives for meaningful and long-term relationships.

Maurits Hofman

Maurits was educated in the private equity and financing practice of the well-known law firm Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam. Maurits subsequently gained broad experience in the mergers and acquisitions practice of the leading boutique law firm deBreij located at the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. Maurits is a specialist in various types of (international) transactions. Maurits started his own law firm (Hofman Corporate Law) in 2021 before he joined forces with Joris to start Het Hoofdkantoor.

Maurits has a vibrant personality and tends to draw people in. He works on the most complex transactions and quickly grasps their essence (and what is important for his clients). Maurits is efficient and result oriented and does not make transactions unnecessarily complex. Maurits excels in bringing parties together and achieving the results his clients are aiming for. His perspective transcends the legal reality; he understands the economics of transactions well and is quick to discern what drives his clients.
